The Team E-mail

The Renegade Rebels originally formed in 2008, with it's roots as a site based team consisting of marshals and customers looking for more from their hobby. After regularly playing customer based games, your typical stag and birthday days out, these players wanted more challenges and discovered the UK Scenario forums and a plethora of big game events throughout the UK.

In 2010 the team separated from the host site, becoming independent, with a major change in membership and has since evolved and grown to one of the larger organised scenario teams in the UK. The growing reputation of the team is reflected in it being awarded Breakthrough Team of the Year 2010 and with 13 year old player Courtney 'Mouth' Gell winning Young Player of the Year 2010. As the team became more organised, with a distinct brand and presence, both it and it's players have become more prominent in the scenario community. The team also continues to take smaller awards at an increasing number of individual games.

During 2011, the team has been continuing to build its presence and reputation, with various members asked by event organisers to take on prominent leadership roles at many games, including Super6/1 : District 10 (PapaBear), Takur Ghar 3 (BC), Super6/2 : Chocolate Factory (RebelRyan), Shoreline Rangers/Al Muray D-Day (Tack), Armo Geddon 6 (Mouth), Call to Duty 3 (Tack), Super6/3 : Diamond Wars (PapaBear), Super6/4 : Tippmann Challenge (Tack) and Super6/5 : Time Wars (PapaBear). PapaBear and Tack have also already been asked to lead at two prominent upcoming 2012 events.

Continuing success in the 2011 season has seen the team absolutely delighted to be nominated by fellow teams for three catagories at this years annual awards; Team of the Year, Young Player of the Year (Mouth) and Male Player of the Year (PapaBear).

The team's ethos is to play at all major games across the UK, as well as some events even further afield. We are fully committed to supporting the new Super6 series and Guerrilla Paintball series of events, together with other events as much as possible. This year will see 8 members making the first overseas trip to Call to Duty 3, on the island of Mrcara in the Adriatic Sea of the coast of Croatia.

In contrast to many more traditional teams, the Renegade Rebels operates as a cooperative society, with all members having an equal status and vote. We do not have a traditional team captain, instead voting members into specific annual roles within the team; Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Quorum Members. Utilising the internet for communication, the team is extremely organised with an official constitution, bank account, accounts system and with trade deals and concessions in place for block bookings of tickets, accommodation, paint, clothing and other equipment. The Renegade Rebels is recognised as being one of the UK's most organised teams.

Working as a tightly organised group, both on and off the field, the team aims to support UK Scenario paintball, traders and sites, encouraging new players to help maintain and grow the sport. Every member is expected to be an ambassador for the team and the sport, providing a helpful and approachable presence on the field, in the safe areas and on associated internet forums.

We welcome all players into the scenario scene, regularly encouraging new players to run wi
th the team as guests and doing whatever we can to help introduce them to the organisers, traders and players of UK scenario paintball.
